Advancement Participants wishing to learn more advanced kickboxing techniques and strategy are encouraged to attend an “all levels” Black Belt Program class.
Registration The one-day Self-Defense for Women workshop is taught twice each month. Due to limited space, registration is required. This workshop is recommended for women age 15 to 50 (and beyond).
Pricing Admission is $50 per participant. With Early Bird registration and Bring-A-Friend discount it can be lowered to $40 per participant.
Objective Enrollment in the Black Belt Program is for students who wish to earn belt ranks and progress in their martial arts journey with the ultimate goal of becoming a Black Belt.
Belt Testing Students begin at white belt and test every 8 – 10 weeks for their next rank. Ten tests are required to earn a black belt. Testing fee is $15 (for 10th gup – 2nd gup). Students will receive a rank (belt or stripe) and certification upon successful completion of each test.
Sparring All advanced Black Belt Program students are expected to participate in regular sparring sessions. The goal of sparring is to refine skill and technique, not to hurt one another. Sparring sessions are heavily monitored and controlled. Safety gear is required.
Loyalty Program Black Belt Program students are the cornerstone of our dojo community. From green belt on, students receive a $5 discount on their tuition with each new rank they earn. In exchange, students are expected to participate in dojo activities and help with lower ranking students when appropriate.
